Kudos to Kendell Beckwith (Jackson, La./East Feliciana) for toughness, at least.

This past Friday marked the second consecutive week Beckwith, the state's top recruit, has aggravated a shoulder injury during the course of a game. The ESPN 150 athlete played through it two weeks ago during a 41-40 loss to Zachary, but it proved to be too much this past weekend against Richwood.

"I spent the game [against Zachary] playing through it, and it never got well. And it started back hurting on Friday," Beckwith said. "I played almost the whole first quarter. Then after that, I went in on defense and I made a tackle -- and it hurt, man."
