GeauxTigerNation mailbag (Oct. 19)

October, 19, 2012
GeauxTigerNation recruiting writer David Helman is back with another GeauxTigerNation mailbag, taking questions about LSU football and the Tigers' recruiting efforts this year.

From Stan G.: How much does the loss of 2012 quarterback recruit Jeremy Liggins to Ole Miss affect LSU for the future?

We'll have to see how things shake out. But if LSU's 2013 class holds up until signing day, probably not much. The coaching staff knew from the beginning that getting Liggins to Baton Rouge was probably easier said than done, and when the quarterback opted to spend the fall in Oxford rather than enroll at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, the writing was on the wall. Liggins is from Oxford, so the call of home probably had a lot to do with it.
