Defensive back Adoree' Jackson (Gardena, Calif./Junipero Serra), the No. 5-ranked prospect in the ESPN 150, has narrowed his list to 10 schools.

Florida, Florida State, Illinois, LSU, Michigan, Notre Dame, Oklahoma State, Tennessee, UCLA and USC all made the cut, Jackson told ESPN's RecruitingNation in a text message.

Jackson, the second-ranked cornerback in the country, is planning visits to Illinois, Tennessee, Michigan and Notre Dame over the summer. He doesn't have a timeline for his decision, but this cut gets him closer to his final choice.

Tom Luginbill writes Insider: After talking to many coaches across the country and hearing their frustrations, here are their five biggest complaints about homemade highlight videos.
ATHENS, Ga. -- For most high school players, the end of practice means they get a break from the incessant nagging and ceaseless instruction of their coaches. They go home, eat dinner, study and enjoy the respite until the whistles start blowing next time. For ESPN Watch List safety Quincy Wilson (Fort Lauderdale, Fla./University School), that is not the case.

Wilson’s father is the defensive coordinator and the defensive backs coach at the University School, so Wilson jokes that he gets no respite.

“Oh no, there’s no break, there’s no break,” Wilson said. “Monday through Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Yeah, I get it at practice, before practice, after practice, in the car, at the dinner table ...”

The talented junior laughed about the nonstop instruction but he also credited his father with making him the player he is today -- one of the most coveted safeties in Florida.

LOS ANGELES -- A lack of communication leading up to USC junior day nearly prevented ESPN Watch List cornerback Adoree' Jackson (Gardena, Calif./Serra) from attending, but a quick phone call from coach Lane Kiffin on Thursday cleared the air.

Jackson accepted the invite and made the short drive to campus on Sunday to meet the new members of the coaching staff.

ESPN 150 defensive lineman Maquedius Bain (Davie, Fla./University School) will be taking a trip to Norman, Okla., this weekend to visit the Sooners pending some ACT paperwork.

"I just needed to get a couple of things in hand and I'll be visiting Oklahoma this weekend," Bain said. "They reached out to me back in July and I'm looking forward to the visit."

The 6-foot-3, 285-pound Bain, who committed to Florida State as a junior and re-opened his recruitment earlier in the year, appears to be leaning towards a future playing outside of the Sunshine State.

BATON ROUGE, La. -- Like most high school football players in Louisiana, 2014 tight end prospect Jacory Washington (Westlake, La./Westlake) has had to wait an extra week for his high school season to start.

Washington's Westlake team is based near Lake Charles, La., mostly out of the way of Hurricane Isaac's path through Louisiana. But Westlake's Week 1 opponent, Eleanor McMain, is based in New Orleans. The Warriors, like so many other teams in the state, had their opener canceled.

Washington is one of the top juniors in the state, with interest coming from the likes of Alabama, Texas A&M and obviously the home state school, LSU. He took the opportunity from the cancellation to drive to Baton Rouge for LSU's home opener against North Texas. The trip to Tiger Stadium is just a two-hour drive from Lake Charles -- one Washington said he'd have likely made even with a game Friday. But the bye week made for an eventful trip to campus.
