Georgia Bulldogs: charles mosley
The spring evaluation period is upon us and the Georgia staff has hit the road to see some of its top prospects.
Last week, offensive coordinator Mike Bobo checked in on 2015 quarterback Tyler Queen (Acworth, Ga./North Cobb), offensive line coach Will Friend visited juco offensive tackle target Dontavius Blair (Anniston, Ala./Garden City Community College), defensive line coach Chris Wilson checked in on massive nose guard target Charles Mosley (Brighton, Tenn./Brighton), and also saw and subsequently offered a scholarship to 2015 offensive lineman Drew Richmond (Memphis, Tenn./Memphis University).
They will once again stop by the high schools of these several prominent recruits this week:

ATHENS, Ga. -- The big news out of Athens this week concerned raises for each of Mark Richt’s football assistants -- including a big raise and new three-year contract for offensive coordinator Mike Bobo.
Bobo received a $240,000 pay bump to $575,000 per year and assistants Will Friend and Tony Ball also got sizable raises, but all nine Richt assistants received a pay increase of some sort.

Last summer, 2014 two-way lineman Charles Mosley (Brighton, Tenn./Brighton) arrived in Tuscaloosa, Ala., as an unknown in the recruiting world. But at 6-foot-5, 340 pounds, Mosley would not go undetected for very long competing in various drills in front of the Crimson Tide coaches.
“I went to a camp at Alabama and I was just some big dude that nobody knew about,” Mosley said. “But then one of the coaches came up and said ‘You are kind of nimble for a big dude.’ ”
Mosley was then put in a group with prospects the coaches already knew about for one-on-ones. With Tide coach Nick Saban looking on, Mosley made the most of his opportunity.
“I guess I did something to impress them because the guys they put me up against in that group could not stop me,” Mosley said. “After that they put me on offense and I did one-on-ones at offensive guard, and the coaches told me afterward that I reminded them of Chance Warmack. That camp really set everything in place. They realized I could move really well side to side – and I was 360 pounds back then.”
