Linebacker Ben Boulware (Anderson, S.C./T.L. Hanna) has made his decision.

“I'm committing to Clemson,” said Boulware. "I have been playing phone tag with the coaches. I talked with coach [Chad] Morris and he said I had to talk with coach [Dabo] Swinney. I have not been able to reach him but I will tonight."

In the end, Boulware said he was just more comfortable with the Tigers.

Linebacker Ben Boulware (Anderson, S.C./T.L. Hanna) could be close to a decision. He confirmed via text message Tuesday evening that he’s down to two schools -- Clemson and Georgia.

Boulware has visited the Bulldogs twice this spring, once for a junior day last month and again this past weekend to watch a UGA spring practice. He lives 20 miles from Clemson and has been there on a number of occasions. Boulware told ESPN on Monday that he will attend a Tigers football practice this week.

Boulware, 6-foot-1 and 225 pounds, recorded 180 tackles last year as a junior and has 420 for his career. Other scholarship offers for Boulware are from Tennessee, Georgia Tech, USF, Maryland, Stanford, UConn, UCLA, Texas A&M, Minnesota, Duke and Ole Miss.

You could say that linebacker Ben Boulware (Anderson, S.C./T.L. Hanna) was just a little excited about what happened this weekend on his visit to the University of Georgia. Bulldogs coach Mark Richt personally offered him a scholarship to UGA.

“It’s funny because I was thinking that Georgia may offer me,” Boulware said. “I have been talking with them almost every day. I spent a good portion of the day with Coach [Kirk] Olivadotti and Coach [Todd] Grantham. We were breaking down film and Coach Richt came in and took me into his office. He offered me and I gave him a big hug.”

Boulware says he is open with the recruiting process. Despite that admission, he has the Dawgs up there on his school wish list.
