Wynn visits Florida but remains open

By Derek Tyson

BEAVERTON, Ore. -- Four-star offensive lineman Isaiah Wynn (St. Petersburg, Fla./Lakewood) remains open with his recruitment, but the ESPN 300 player recently took a visit to an in-state school.

"I visited Florida about two weeks ago," Wynn said. "I really enjoyed spending time with the coaching staff and I had a chance to talk to coach [Tim] Davis one-on-one about the offensive line and stuff so it was good."

In addition to Florida, Wynn has Vanderbilt, Tennessee, Georgia, Miami and Auburn starting to stand out.

Wynn has no leader, but Georgia has appeared to be near the top of his list. Wynn said he feels comfortable in Athens.

I really like their coaching staff and just their tradition," Wynn said. "I mean I feel just real comfortable when I'm on campus."

Another school Wynn has recently visited, Auburn, impressed the 6-foot-2, 275-pound guard prospect.

"It was good, I got a chance to spend some time with coach [Jeff] Grimes and also coach [Gus] Malzahn and just talk about football and what they have planned for the season," Wynn said. "I think their intentions are good. They have a whole plan laid out for the season, so I think that's good."

Wynn, who is planning to narrow things down after he takes his official visits, has no time frame for his decision.
