UGA OL signee Seymour plots his path
By Kipp Adams
The University of Georgia signed 33 recruits in the 2013 recruiting cycle, and 27 of them are in Athens already. One of the late additions to the class, ESPN 300 offensive lineman DeVondre Seymour, has learned where he will be attending school this fall.
"I am enrolling at Hinds Community College in Mississippi," Seymour said. "I plan to be at Georgia in January 2015."
Seymour said he will leave for Jackson, Miss., and Hinds on Thursday.
It has been known for almost a year now that Seymour likely would not be able to qualify to enroll immediately at Georgia. But the Bulldogs added the 6-foot-5, 300-pound offensive lineman on signing day, just days after learning they were losing out on five-star target and longtime heavy Georgia lean Laremy Tunsil to Ole Miss.
At the time, there was hope Seymour might have to attend only prep school, which would allow him to enroll next January as part of the 2014 class. That will not be the case, however, and Seymour is now a 2015 junior college prospect.
Three other signees, ESPN 300 receiver Uriah LeMay, wide receiver Rico Johnson, and juco defensive back Kennar Johnson, have yet to enroll, as well, but are expected to join the team next month.
