RB
Alvin Kamara (Norcross, Ga./Norcross): "As advertised and as a whole he was a part of the four best backs we have had in the game as a group in the six years of the event. Explosive, sudden and a much tougher, stronger inside runner than you might think. Pass catching skills as you know by now are amongst the best in this class -- right up there with
Ryan Green. A great change of pace that is only going to get bigger and stronger."
LB
Reuben Foster (Auburn, Ala./Auburn): "Perhaps no other player exceeded expectations more than Foster when you consider the dismal senior campaign he had. I think he knew he was overweight and disappointed throughout the year with sub-par production. He was quicker, lighter on his feet and much more active with his motor. Not only did he perform during the week, but he also had a very nice game performance. The lighter he is the better chance he has of staying at linebacker and playing in space serviceably. If he continues to bulk up, he could end up playing in the front. We were happy to see him take it upon himself to perform to the standard he had set as a sophomore and junior."
LB
Matthew Thomas (Miami/Booker T. Washington): "He might be 205 pounds now, but look out in two years. His practice week and game performance were among the best on display. The reason we have him ahead of
Jaylon Smith is because he is a better tackler right now, despite being light in the pants. He can flat out run, he can play in space and at the point of attack he will surprise you with pop. We even experimented with him as a defensive end during the week in pass rush situations. His frame development upside is why coaches are so excited."
