The 6-foot-5 Lorenzo Carter (25) has opted to put basketball on the back burner and concentrate on football, and has already racked up several offers.

ATHENS, Ga. -- As Georgia closes out its 2013 recruiting cycle, the coaching staff is hitting the road and the film room to evaluate the next crop of talented recruits. A few offers already have gone out to some members of the Class of 2014, but each week new names emerge.

DawgNation is taking a position-by-position look at a number of the 2014 prospects whose profile pages fans might want to add as favorites. Here is a look at the outside linebackers Georgia has offered or has on its radar.

Needs: 1-2, Committed: none

Offers: Georgia has offered two outside linebackers in the Class of 2014. The Bulldogs likely will lose Jarvis Jones to the NFL, and Cornelius Washington is a senior this year. Having signed four outside linebackers in 2012, and with two more committed in the Class of 2013, the Bulldogs likely will be judicious with offers.

Rashaan Evans (Auburn, Ala./Auburn) -- Evans already has close to 20 offers from major programs in the Southeast, including the likes of Alabama, Georgia, Florida State and LSU. But it is his Auburn offer that might be the undoing of all the schools interested in the 6-foot-4, 215-pound linebacker. His parents, sister and a number of aunts and uncles all graduated from Auburn, and he lives right there on the Plains. He did visit Georgia for the Bulldogs’ contest with Tennessee and called the experience “eye-opening.” He liked the fans and atmosphere at Georgia.

Korie Rogers (Buford, Ga/Buford) -- Buford High School has been quite the pipeline of talent for Georgia, and the Bulldogs coaching staff hopes that trend continues with Rogers. The 6-2, 218-pound athlete picked up his offer from Mark Richt at a 7-on-7 tournament this past summer in Athens, Ga. Rogers also has offers from Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Penn State, East Carolina and Louisiana-Lafayette. He could also factor as an inside linebacker for the Bulldogs.

Bryson Allen-Williams (Ellenwood, Ga./Cedar Grove) -- A true national prospect, Allen-Williams has offers from coast to coast. USC, Utah, Missouri, Penn State, Florida, Boise State, Maryland and South Carolina are just some of the 14 programs that have extended verbal offers to the 6-3, 233-pound junior. The ESPN Watch List member normally plays on the defensive line but recently tried a stint at linebacker, where his quick burst proved quite effective. Allen-Williams said that UCLA, South Carolina, Washington and USC are talking to him the most.

Dante Sawyer (Suwanee, Ga./North Gwinnett) -- Sawyer plays with a hand down for now, but at the next level he could easily play outside linebacker. The 6-3, 250-pound defensive end has offers from Ohio State and North Carolina, and many more are expected. He has been invited to multiple camps, and he attended Dawg Night at Georgia. Sawyer recently received 50 letters from FSU and took a visit to Alabama, where he spoke with coach Nick Saban.

Lorenzo Carter (Norcross, Ga./Norcross) -- Carter is a tall, two-sport athlete who has switched from concentrating on basketball to readying himself for a football career at the next level. The 6-5, 225-pound junior already sports offers from Clemson, Florida State, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Penn State, Arkansas, Miami, Georgia Tech, Oklahoma State and Syracuse. He has made multiple trips to Alabama and Georgia and plans to visit the Bulldogs again.

Andrew Williams (McDonough, Ga./Eagles Landing) -- An ESPN Watch List member as well, Williams is one of the most coveted players in the Peach State for next year. His 12 offers include Alabama, USC, Florida, Florida State and Texas A&M. The 6-4, 230-pound defender set a season goal of 25 sacks, and at the start of November he had racked up 19.
