Kim Klement/US PresswireCould 'UGA superstar' be the next label for talented incoming freshman Jordan Jenkins? With an improved technique, the sky could be the limit.
Forty-four days remain until Georgia kicks off its season opener against Buffalo on Sept. 1. In the days counting down to the opener, DawgNation will profile, with our “Around the Hedges in 80 Days” series, a Bulldogs player we expect to make an impact. We will review each player’s career thus far and project his long-term potential as we progress through our alphabetical list, from center David Andrews to receiver Rantavious Wooten.

44. Jordan Jenkins
Freshman, Outside linebacker
6-foot-3, 245 pounds

Fall forecast: Georgia’s coaching staff scored quite a coup in January when Jenkins announced he would sign with the Bulldogs on the same day that Alabama -- the team once thought to be the front-runner for his services -- beat LSU in the BCS Championship Game.

Jenkins has the chance to contribute immediately, thanks to dynamic pass-rushing skills that defensive coordinator Todd Grantham raved about to reporters last week.
