East River (Orlando, Fla.) linebacker Ryne Rankin committed to Georgia on Friday afternoon, becoming the Bulldogs second commit of the day.
Rankin, a 6-foot-1, 230-pound junior, joins Brookwood (Snellville, Ga.) wide receiver Kyrin Priester, who committed to the Bulldogs earlier today.
Rankin visited Georgia last week as part of a week-long tour of schools during his spring break, he was extended an offer yesterday.
"Ryne really liked Georgia, he liked the campus and the coaching staff," said Marc Rankin, Ryne's father and head coach at East River. "I think it's a good fit for him in terms of the playing situation.
"They have a need for linebackers and have some players that are going to be going in their last season."
Rankin had nearly 20 offers including Louisville, Penn State, Texas A&M, South Florida, Cincinnati and Arizona. He is planning on returning to Athens next week for their spring game.
