Mekhi Brown shocked by Georgia offer

Defensive end Mekhi Brown (Columbus, Ga./Carver) cannot drive yet, but he has an offer list that is envy of many an upperclassmen. Auburn, Alabama, Florida, Florida State, Duke, Tennessee, and North Carolina have already offer Brown. And now so has the University of Georgia.

The 6-foot-5, 230-pound sophomore should not be surprised by any new offers he picks up, but the one from the Bulldogs caught him off guard.

“I got a bunch of texts from reporters saying, ‘Did Georgia offer you?’ I had no clue. I wasn’t aware of it. Then my dad called me and said that Coach [Dell] McGee told him that it was a true offer. I mean I thought UGA was done recruiting Carver.”
