Alex Bars visiting SEC, not Big Ten

Alex Bars turned down a northern trip to head south.

The ESPN Watch List prospect from Nashville Montgomery Bell will visit Georgia instead of taking a trip to Purdue to see the Boilermakers host Penn State. Georgia hosts Ole Miss on Saturday.

Bars made the decision primarily because his brother, Brad Bars, is not expected to play for Penn State on Saturday. Brad Bars is a junior defensive end for the Nittany Lions.

Alex Bars has multiple scholarship offers. It seems likely he could pick up one from Georgia this weekend.
