Last year, wide receiver Demarre Kitt (Tyrone, Ga./Sandy Creek) emerged as one of the top young playmakers in Georgia, making 42 catches for 651 yards and 10 touchdowns. The 6-foot-1, 185-pound junior has continued where he left off, making nine catches for 244 yards and two touchdowns in two games this season. Nevertheless, the University of Georgia commitment expected more from his performance against Newnan last Friday.

Radi Nabulsi/ESPN.comGeorgia pledge Demarre Kitt has had a strong start to his junior season.
"I had four catches but I dropped the first pass thrown to me," Kitt said. "I played OK but I did not really play my real game today."

Last month, Kitt attended a game played nearby in Atlanta between two out-of-state programs.
