Best player in the half: Florida quarterback John Brantley. The Gators senior is clearly nowhere near 100 percent, but he has been extremely effective throwing the ball. Brantley is 10-for-20 for 226 yards and hit Jordan Reed for a 31-yard touchdown to conclude the Gators' second drive.
Best call: Trailing 17-3 and facing fourth-and-5 at Florida's 20, Georgia took a risk and cashed in. Quarterback Aaron Murray pump-faked in traffic, then hit a leaping Michael Bennett for a touchdown that made it a one-score game at halftime.
