Tibbs is out of the shadows

October, 26, 2011
When the University of Georgia sent out a scholarship offer to wide receiver Blake Tibbs (Lithonia, Ga./Martin Luther King), the young wideout was relatively unknown compared to the other receivers the Bulldogs had offered. Many of them had more offers from more prestigious schools, but Tibbs was unfazed by being considered late to the recruiting game.

He knew his time would come. Shortly after his Georgia offer, Tibbs committed to the Bulldogs.

"I think I was overshadowed last year by our outstanding wide receiver Demarco Robinson," Tibbs said. "Little did people know that I had over 1,000 yards last year. Mostly people just knew about Demarco last season."
