The University of Georgia is recruiting some of the top prospects in the country, and DawgNation takes a look at 10 targets and prospects that had standout performances on the field last week.
Derrick Henry, ATH (Yulee, Fla./Yulee) – The ESPN 150 prospect had 42 carries for 502 yards and six touchdowns in a 45-28 win over Jacksonville (Fla.) Andrew Jackson, breaking the single-game record for rushing yardage in the state of Florida. Henry also passed Emmitt Smith (8,804) for 2nd in career yards in Florida with 9,255. Henry now has 38 straight games with 100 yards rushing or more, one shy of the national record set by 2012 ESPN 150 prospect Rushell Shell, now at Pitt.
Brendan Langley, ATH (Marietta, Ga./Kell) - The ESPN 300 prospect had seven catches for 104 yards, three interceptions, 97 return yards, two touchdowns and a blocked extra point in a 33-29 win over Creekview.
Robert Nkemdiche, DE (Loganville, Ga./Grayson) - The No. 1 prospect in the country had 12 tackles, two sacks, six quarterback hurries 16 rushing yards and a touchdown in a 45-7 win over Dacula.
Raekwon McMillan, 2014 LB (Hinesville, Ga./Liberty County) – The Under Armour All-American selection had 12 tackles, two sacks, a forced fumble which he returned for a touchdown, one quarterback hurry as well as 10 carries for 51 yards and two touchdowns, as well as a two-point conversion rush in a 42-7 win over Cross Creek.
Steven Nelson, CB (College of the Sequoias) – The juco prospect had five tackles, two interceptions, a 60-yard kickoff return and seven passes broken up in a 37-14 win over Foothill on Saturday.
Tramel Terry, ATH (Goose Creek, S.C./Goose Creek) - The ESPN 150 prospect had 13 rushes for 59 yards, along with four catches for 75 yards in a 28-17 win over Dutch Fork. Terry has 381 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns, along with 269 yards receiving and a touchdown in five games this season.
Alvin Kamara, RB (Norcross, Ga./Norcross) – The ESPN 150 prospect had 16 carries for 89 yards and two touchdowns and two catches for eight yards in a 36-7 win over Duluth.
Adam Choice, 2014 RB (Thomasville, Ga./Thomas County Central) – While lined up at quarterback, Choice ran for 158 yards and three touchdowns on 12 carries in a 34-14 win over Tift County.
Jalen Hurd, 2014 RB (Hendersonville, Tenn./Beech) – Hurd had 13 carries for 145 yards and three touchdowns, as well as a 30-yard touchdown catch in a 42-0 win over White House.
Vonn Bell, DB (Rossville, Ga./Ridgeland) – The ESPN 150 defensive back had 10 tackles, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, seven carries for 95 yards and two touchdowns in a 42-21 win over Cedartown.
Honorable mention: Josh Dobbs (Alpharetta, Ga./Alpharetta) - The Arizona State commitment completed 32 of 53 passes for 514 yards and five touchdowns, and had six rushes for 48 yards and a touchdown in 63-42 loss to West Forsyth.
2dGreg Ostendorf and Alex Scarborough
