ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- Corey Holmes (Ft. Lauderdale, Fla./St. Thomas Aquinas) had a relatively quiet holiday season in terms of recruiting.
With the dead period in swing, his contact with college coaches was limited. Miami (Fla), though, seems to have begun to show some effort in getting the 6-foot-1, 170-pound receiver on campus.
"I think it was just this week, I heard from Miami and they invited me to a thing that they have down in Coral Gables," he said. "So far, that is the only the school to hit me up."

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- Coming off a relatively serious leg injury, Moral Stephens (Perry, Fla./Taylor County) wanted to establish some confidence.
Being unable to run around at top speed like he used to was frustrating. But at the Under Armour Combine, he finally got a chance to do that again with some of the top juniors in the country.
"I am feeling pretty good," he said. "I am just wanting to prove myself that I am healthy and all of that. I am still in good shape."

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- 2014 safety C.J. Reavis (Chester, Va./Thomas Dale) has added three new offers recently from Maryland, North Carolina and North Carolina State.
With Boston College, Virginia and Virginia Tech in hand already, it provides a nice, local base for his recruiting options.
"They are all pretty close to home," he said before the Under Armour Combine. "They talk to me a lot and show me a lot of love.

More than 150 of the top underclassmen prospects in the country were in attendance for registration to the Under Armour All-America Combine, several of which are from Georgia.
Massive OL looking to visit Wolverines
ESPN 2014 Watch List prospect Orlando Brown Jr. (Suwanee, Ga./Peachtree Ridge) should have no problem finding a place to play at the next level. At 6-foot-8, 370 pounds, the mammoth offensive lineman boasts offers from 36 programs, although he maintains eight of them are at the top.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- It has only been a few weeks since Chad Thomas (Miami/Booker T. Washington) and his teammates were crowned state champions, but he's already added a major offer.
Big East and Sugar Bowl champions Louisville have entered the picture, but the ESPN Watch List defensive end still has the familiar three on top.
"Since the offseason, I really have only gotten one from Louisville," he said. "I just have my top three right now with Miami, LSU and Florida State.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- Having as many as six big-time offers at this early stage isn't lost on 2014 OL Garrett Brumfield (Baton Rouge, La./University Lab).
Florida, Florida State, Louisiana Tech, LSU, Miami and Texas A&M have said they have a spot waiting for the ESPN Watch List guard. And that has Brumfield plenty motivated.
"The more choices, the better, so I am real excited," he said.
