It was another successful trip to Athens, Ga., for ESPN 300 running back A.J. Turman. The 6-foot, 205-pound senior watched Georgia inch closer to an SEC East Division title and brought his parents with him.
"It was a great trip, I enjoyed myself and my parents enjoyed it too," Turman said. "Everyone’s very friendly there; it’s a very family-like atmosphere all around campus.
"We spent more time with some of the academic advisors and going over the curriculum at the school. They did a good job of explaining the process of selecting a major. We saw a few other things as well. Overall it was a productive trip."

In what is now widely considered to be the fourth-best state as far as FBS football talent is concerned, the 2013 class in Georgia could be the deepest group of talent to come out of the Peach State. More than 200 prospects are claiming offers at the moment, which would easily surpass the 170-180 FBS signees the state has averaged over the last three years. In this feature, RecruitingNation takes a look at the top five remaining uncommitted prospects in Georgia.

ESPN 150 running back Alvin Kamara (Norcross, Ga./Norcross) is coveted by colleges across the country, but at the moment two SEC programs stand out, with four other schools still in the mix.
"Georgia and Alabama are definitely up there as the top two," Kamara said. "Oregon is still in the mix, as is Tennessee, Oklahoma State and Florida State. But Georgia and Alabama are definitely the top two."
Kamara has not named a leader, but that could soon change.

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. -- Recently, ESPN 150 running back Alvin Kamara (Norcross, Ga./Norcross) named a top five of Alabama, Georgia, FSU, Oklahoma State and Tennessee. As he prepared to try and help his Southeast team make a run at the Champion Gridiron Kings at Walt Disney World. Kamara discussed his timeline when he would decide on a college.
“I want to make sure I visit all of the schools in my top five before I make my decision, and I want to see how the season goes with those five teams as well,” Kamara said. “If everything goes the way I plan I will commit in mid-September. I do not really have a leader, but I should be ready to make a choice after I take these visits.”
The No. 52 prospect had good things to say about each of the programs still under consideration.
“I did not expect a lot when I visited FSU, but I really like the family vibe that the coaching staff and atmosphere provide,” Kamara said. “All of my boys have committed to UGA. Coach [Mark] Richt and coach [Bryan] McClendon, I pretty much love the entire coaching staff. Alabama … the name speaks for itself. There is an opportunity for playing time at Oklahoma State and I think their offense really fits my style of play. Two of my teammates are at Tennessee in Ben Bradley and Jason Croom. They are recruiting me really hard and I got a chance to sit down with coach [Derek] Dooley and his staff and I enjoyed it.

ESPN 150 running back Alvin Kamara (Norcross, Ga./Norcross) has narrowed his list of college destinations down to a top five.
“Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, Oklahoma State and FSU,” Kamara said in a text to DawgNation. “But I think more Oregon than FSU.”
So maybe it is a top six. Either way the Under Armour All-American says they the schools are equal and not in any particular order.
