2016 DE earns offer at FSU camp

By Corey Dowlar

It's never too early to offer a recruit these days, especially after observing him in a camp setting.

Class of 2016 prospecct Chauncey Manac (Homerville, Ga./Clinch County) has been tearing it up on the camp circuit. And he added an offer from the Seminoles during his trip to Tallahassee for the Jimbo Fisher Camp after going through drills with defensive ends coach Sal Sunseri.

"Great," he said. "He showed me a lot of techniques. There were a lot of new drills and stuff."

Clemson, Florida, Florida State, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee have already offered Manac -- a testament to how he projects. But at 6-foot-3, 220 pounds, it's not that hard to see that he's going to be a good size when he arrives on a college campus in a couple of years.

"It has been a great feeling to know that I am that good," Manac said. "I think it is something to be proud of."

Manac admits he's very new to college football. He didn't grow up a fan of any particular team, and he doesn't exactly know how the recruiting process works yet.

That will come later. For now, he's interested in the way that coaching staffs handle him and the potential for future success in the professional ranks.

"The way they treat me," he said. "I want to see how they care about me and stuff. I want to be able to make it to the next level."
