ESPN 150 WR enjoys Vanderbilt official

By Corey Long

ESPN 150 wide receiver Jordan Cunningham (Davie, Fla./University School) resumed his recruitment this week, and the 6-foot-2, 180-pound senior was very impressed with what he saw on his official visit to an SEC program.

Cunningham took an official to Vanderbilt over the weekend and came away with plenty of superlatives for the program.

“It was a really good trip,” Cunningham said. “I love the coaches and the team is real cool. I enjoyed the time spent with them.”

The Under Armour All-America Game participant also had high marks for the city of Nashville.

“It’s not what some people think it is,” Cunningham added. “Some people think it’s country but it’s a great city with great people. The downtown is very active and vibrant.

“Academically it’s a top-tier institution and much like Stanford it’s the best of both worlds with strong athletes and strong academics. It’s the top business school in the country and there plenty of opportunities with internships and networking.”

Cunningham said that Vanderbilt is “right there” with Stanford and Miami (Fla) as his favorite schools. The receiver will take an official to Florida State this weekend.
