ESPN 150 athlete Tarean Folston (Cocoa, Fla./Cocoa) is working to set up an official visit to Florida State, according to head coach John Wilkinson.
The 79th-rated prospect in the nation has already taken official visits to Notre Dame and Oregon.
“Coach [Lawrence] Dawsey came through the school to visit Tarean yesterday and things went real well,” Wilkinson said. “I know he is going to take a visit there but they are just trying to finalize a date.”
Folston will have more visitors this week.
“Coach Brian Kelly is going to stop through the school and visit Tarean on Thursday,” Wilkinson added.
Folston is still recovering from a long season that saw Cocoa reach the Class 4A state semifinals before losing to Miami Booker T. Washington. Folston helped Cocoa win a state championship in 2010. He rushed for more than 4,000 yards in his time at Cocoa.
“He’s been a heck of a player and now it’s time for him to move on and select a college,” Wilkinson said. “Whoever gets him will be very happy.”
