All it took was an in-home visit from assistant coaches Lawrence Dawsey and Eddie Gran to reaffirm Ryan Green’s commitment to Florida State.
The ESPN 150 running back was seriously thinking about taking some official visits, but after Monday night’s session that seems unlikely.
“Things couldn’t have gone better,” said Ryan’s father, Vader Green. “After the coaches left Ryan told me he was 100 percent on board with the Seminoles.”
Green’s apprehension came about after rumors linked Florida State head coach Jimbo Fisher to openings at Auburn and Tennessee. Auburn has since hired Gus Malzahn and Tennessee appears to be focusing on Louisville head coach Charlie Strong and Oklahoma State head coach Mike Gundy.
With Fisher’s long-term commitment to stay in Tallahassee, Green has no problem calling himself a Seminole.
“I don’t see any other things standing in Ryan’s way,” Vader Green added. “He just wants to enjoy his senior year, play in the Under Armour Game and enroll at FSU this summer.”
