Denzel Ware (Crestview, Fla./Crestview) had never seen anything like it in person.
Just a few weeks after his commitment to Florida State immediately following the season-opening win over Murray State, the ESPN Watch List member was back for the Clemson-Florida State showdown.
"It was great," Ware said. "It was a great game. At first I didn't know what was going on, then the defense came out all pumped up and came out great. They started getting pressure on Tajh Boyd and Bjoern Werner was in the backfield.
"I was pumped up. The intensity was great on both sides. It was just a great game. It was the best game I've seen in person."
Because it was the first time back to Tallahassee since his pledge, there was a little different feel to it. Now no longer on the outside looking in, the 2014 defensive end felt right in the thick of things as one of the group.
"At one in point in time, they were trying to get me to commit," he said. "Now that I am there and committed, it was just great because I felt a part of the family.
"It was way different. Way different."
Immediately after the Seminoles secured the win and made their way back to a jubilant locker room, Ware followed suit. He saw the players celebrating, coaches talking and a general sense of euphoria.
"Everybody was happy," he said. “I got to talk to Coach [D.J.] Eliot and got to congratulate him and stuff. It was great."
The next time Ware anticipates being back at Florida State will be the regular season finale against Florida.
