Florida State, just like any other team, is always on the lookout for out-and-out scorers.
Ahmed Hill (Augusta, Ga./Aquinas) fits that mold exactly. And the 6-foot-5, 190-pound guard is feeling the love from the Seminoles.
"They are going to be one of my top schools for the future," said the four-star prospect.
Assistant coach Corey Williams serves as Hill's primary recruiter from Leonard Hamilton's staff. Growing up in a nearby area in Georgia, Coach Williams has the ability to relate to the ESPN 60 prospect.
To Hill, that means a lot.
"He is from down by the Macon area, so he knows how I grew up and different things," he said. "We always talk about how he used to do and how he worked out. He talks about my work ethic and he thinks I can be a potential pro one day.
"They definitely want me to come in and be a scorer for them and be big time there."
Alabama, Clemson, Connecticut, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Indiana, Kansas, Marquette, Miami (Fla.), South Carolina, Tennessee, Villanova and VCU have all already offered Hill in addition to Florida State. In a position where it could be overwhelming, Hill's done his best not to let it get to that point.
"It is pretty good, but I am just trying not to let it get to me," he mentioned. "I am just trying to pick the best place for me."
Unofficial visits are next on the docket for Hill. He doesn't have any planned for certain yet, but that will come soon.
Florida State, though, will definitely get a trip out of him.
"I am trying to set some dates, I don't know when, but I am starting to set some dates," he said.
Hill anticipates making a decision during the late signing period of his senior year in order to make sure his destination is the right place for him.
