"We went to see the doctor the today after Ryan had been complaining about some soreness in his shoulder," Green's father explained. "It turns out that he had a little tear and we are going to have surgery Friday."

The labrum tear is of no concern to Green's commitment status as he will be back and healthy soon. Florida State's coaching staff reiterated its commitment to the 2013 tailback -- ranked No. 4 among running backs and No. 34 overall -- as early as this afternoon. Green is the top prospect in Florida State's No. 11-ranked class.
