The two quarterbacks actually met at Elite 11 four years earlier when both were juniors in high school, and they've stayed in close touch ever since.
"We've talked throughout our whole college careers because we were in similar situations," Glennon said.
Glennon said the two bonded during their years as backups, but now that they're both seniors, the priorities have changed drastically.
"This is both of our last go-rounds, and it's now or never," Glennon said. "I know he's excited about Florida State this year, and I'm excited about NC State, and we both get to play each other so it should be fun."
But when the two got together last week, the primary topic of conversation wasn't so much about their own exploits, but rather the impressive defense Florida State will put on the field this season.
"EJ was saying how excited he is about their defense being back," Glennon said, "and I was excited to go against them."
