Florida Gators: Ryan Buchanan
Jackson (Miss.) Prep quarterback Ryan Buchanan verbally committed to Mississippi on Monday afternoon. Buchanan announced his decision at a press conference at his school.
The 6-foot-3, 203-pound signal-caller chose Ole Miss over offers from Florida, Alabama, Auburn and Arkansas. Buchanan visited Florida two weekends ago, but a trip to Oxford this past weekend sealed the deal for the Rebels.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Jackson (Miss.) Prep quarterback Ryan Buchanan visited Florida with his family on Friday. The 6-foot-3, 203-pound signal-caller said he enjoyed his trip to Gainesville.
"I loved it," Buchanan said on Saturday. "I got to know Coach [Will] Muschamp and Coach [Brent] Pease better. I just got a good feel for the whole university."
With schools like Auburn and Alabama recently picking up quarterback commitments, Buchanan could feel pressure to make an early decision, but he says that's not the case.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Florida offensive coordinator Brent Pease had a chance to watch Jackson (Miss.) Prep quarterback Ryan Buchanan throw to some of his high school teammates Tuesday afternoon. Pease came away impressed with the 6-foot-3, 203-pound signal-caller -- enough so that he extended an offer to the talented quarterback prospect.
"The offer means a lot," Buchanan said. "To get offered by the Florida Gators I feel like is something very special, no doubt. Coach Pease is a cool guy and had a good track record from Boise State. I think he is a really good quarterback coach."
With offers now from Florida, Auburn, Arkansas and Oklahoma State, Buchanan has seen his stock start to soar. Buchanan, however, said he has no favorites at this time.
Buchanan said he will likely make his college decision sometime before his senior season begins.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Jackson (Miss.) Jackson Prep quarterback Ryan Buchanan has seen his stock continue to climb. The 6-foot-3, 203-pound prospect has started to hear from the Florida Gators recently.
Buchanan says three Florida coaches have been in contact.
"I've talked to coach [Derek] Lewis," Buchanan said. "He is the recruiting coordinator for my area, and I got some good feedback from him. Coach Aubrey Hill is coming by my school (today) and then coach [Brent] Pease is coming by my school next week sometime to watch me throw. I talked to Coach Pease for a while. He wants me to come down and see Florida when I can, so I'll probably get down there as soon as possible."
