Bama commit Scarbrough plans visits
By Derek Tyson
BRADENTON, Fla. -- ESPN 300 athlete Bo Scarbrough (Bradenton, Fla./IMG Academy), despite being committed to Alabama for more than a year, is planning to take all five of his official visits.
The 6-foot-2, 215-pound athlete said after his high school's game on Friday that he is planning to take official visits to UCLA, Georgia, Florida, Notre Dame and Alabama.
Florida running backs coach Brian White was on hand to watch Scarbrough rush for 291 yards and four touchdowns on 23 carries. Scarbrough admitted he was flattered that White was in attendance but realizes its just part of the recruiting process.
"It means a lot for a college coach to come watch your game," he said, "but at the end of the day, you’ve just got to focus on what you have in front of you and focus on your future later."
The Under Armour All-American did note that he will unofficially visit Florida on Saturday for its game against Tennessee.
Scarbrough made the move from Tuscaloosa, Ala., to Bradenton just before the start of the season and said he feels less pressure about where he should attend college.
"Yeah [I feel less pressure], because I can really focus on what I need to focus on and not have anybody in my ear about this or about that about going to a college," Scarbrough said. "If you’re worried about that and not my future, who knows?"
As for how solid his commitment is to Alabama, the No. 2-ranked athlete in the ESPN 300 just laughed and shrugged his shoulders.
"I’m pretty solid right now," he said, "but we’ll see what happens in the end."
