Florida's 2014 WR prospects

9/18/2012

GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- As we get closer to spotlighting the class of 2014, GatorNation gives you a position-by-position look at a few 2014 prospects to keep an eye on.

Some prospects have already been offered, but there are plenty of names that will start to pop up along the way. Here is a look at a few of the wide receivers in the class.

Needs: 3-4

Committed

Ryeshene Bronson (Ft. Myers, Fla./Dunbar) -- Bronson committed to the Gators after attending camp in June. Bronson also held offers from FSU, Auburn, South Carolina, UNC and North Carolina.

Offers

Johnnie Dixon (Palm Beach, Fla./Dwyer) -- The talented receiver earned his Florida offer after having an impressive camp in Gainesville this summer. Dixon also has offers from Ohio State, Miami, Florida State and Alabama. The Gators appear to be in good position for the Dixon, who is friends with former high school teammates and Dwyer graduates Jacoby Brissett and Matt Elam. Both are on Florida's roster.

Artavis Scott (Tarpon Springs, Fla./East Lake) -- Like Dixon, Scott earned a Gators offer after camping at Florida this summer. Scott also holds offers from Florida State, Notre Dame and Ohio State. Though Scott's recruitment will likely play out for a while, he admits his mom likes the Gators.

Corey Holmes (Fort Lauderdale, Fla./St. Thomas Aquinas) -- Holmes continues a reoccurring trend. He received a Florida offer after attending the Gators camp this summer. Holmes also has offers from Florida State, Michigan and Wisconsin.

Names to watch

Jake McCrary (Miami/Coral Reef - Committed to Miami) -- Attended Florida's Friday Night Lights camp and came away impressed with the Gators. His recruitment, despite his commitment, could play out for a while.

Johnathan Lloyd (Graham, N.C./Southern Alamance) -- Lloyd is listed as an athlete, but the Gators are recruiting him as a wide receiver.

Jalen Hurd (Hendersonville, Tenn./Beech) -- With his 6-foot-3, 195-pound frame, the Gators are recruiting Hurd as a receiver. He prefers to play running back though.

Trevion Thompson (Durham, N.C./Hillside) -- Also has offers from Clemson, South Carolina and Ohio State.

Adly Enoicy (Delray Beach, Fla./Atlantic Community) -- The big 6-5 receiver has offers from FSU, Miami, USC and South Carolina.
