GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- ESPNU 150 Watch List prospect Demarcus Walker (Jacksonville, Fla./Sandalwood) visited Florida Saturday for its annual spring game, and the 6-foot-3, 255-pound defensive end said he enjoyed his trip to Gainesville.
"It went pretty good," Walker said. "I was able to come down and have fun with my friends Nick [Washington] and Ahmad [Fulwood]. It was good. They need some rushers. They explained that to me. I could probably make a difference."
In addition to his Florida offer, Walker also holds offers from Alabama, Auburn, USC and Arkansas. Walker declined to name a leader, but said the Gators are in good position for him.
"They are not my leader," Walker said with a pause, "but they are high, high -- yeah they are high. Especially with Nick, Daniel [McMillian] and Ahmad. I'm cool with all them and they are always on my back about going to Florida. It's going to get even worse with them now."
Walker said those three good friends, who are all committed to the Gators, will be a factor in his decision.
"It's going to be a real big factor," he said. "We call ourselves the Fantastic Four, so we always want to keep the group together. They will play a big factor."
Walker said he thought about committing to Florida after Fulwood made his decision.
"Oh yeah, I was tempted," he said. "When they set us all down and talking about commitments and all that, then Ahmad committed. We'll see how things go next week in Tuscaloosa."
Walker, who has already committed to play in the Under Armour All-America game, said he will visit Alabama next week and then could possibly make a decision.
"I made [Nick] Saban a promise that I'd go see Alabama again before I commit," Walker said. "So I'm going to keep that promise. So we'll see next week."
