GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Here’s a recap of how Florida’s players on national award Watch lists are faring this season:

Watch lists: College Football Performance Award Linebacker Trophy, Butkus Award, Rotary Lombardi

Last week’s stats: 5 tackles, one sack

Season stats: 13 tackles, one sack

Comment: Other than the sack, he didn’t make much of an impact against the Aggies.

FB Trey Burton

Watch list: CFPA Running Back Trophy

Last week’s stats: 2 rushes for 1 yard, two catches for 16 yards

Season stats: 4 catches for 28 yards, two rushes for 1 yard

Comment: Caught a pass for 3 yards to help the Gators convert a fake field goal.

P Kyle Christy

Watch list: CFPA Punter Trophy

Last week’s stats: Averaged 47.2 yards on five punts; put two inside the 20.

Season stats: Averaging 43.3 yards on nine punts.

Comment: He has put four punts inside the 20.

WR/KR Andre Debose

Watch lists: CFPA All-Purpose Trophy, CFPA Kickoff Returner Trophy, CFPA Wide Receiver Trophy, Biletnikoff

Last week’s stats: 1 punt return for 1 yard; 1 kickoff return for 23 yards.

Season stats: Averaging 30.5 yards on two kickoff returns; averaging 11.5 on four punt returns.

Comment: Texas A&M limited his impact by kicking the ball out of bounds.

DE Dominique Easley

Watch list: Ted Hendricks Award

Last week’s stats: 6 tackles

Season stats: 7 tackles, 1 tackle for loss, 1 sack for minus-5 yards

Comment: Once the defense quit being overly aggressive, things settled down against the Aggies.

S Matt Elam

Watch lists: CFPA Defensive Back Trophy, Jim Thorpe Award, Bronko Nagurski Trophy

Last week’s stats: 4 tackles, 1 tackle for loss

Season stats: 6 tackles, 1 tackle for loss

Comment: Elam made little impact for the second consecutive week.

DT Sharrif Floyd

Watch lists: Bednarik Award, Bronko Nagurski Trophy, Outland Trophy, Rotary Lombardi Award, Walter Camp Award

Last week’s stats: 5 tackles

Season stats: 9 tackles.

Comment: He is fourth on the team in tackles after moving back to DT.

C Jonotthan Harrison

Watch list: Rimington Award

Last week’s stats: UF rushed for 142 yards.

Season stats: Gators are averaging 181.0 yards per game rushing.

Comment: UF coach Will Muschamp named him the team’s Offensive Player of the Game for his performance against Texas A&M.

LB Jelani Jenkins

Watch lists: Butkus Award, Rotary Lombardi Award

Last week’s stats: 2 tackles


Season stats: 5 tackles, 1 tackle for loss

Comment: Suffered a fractured thumb and will miss four weeks.

LB Lerentee McCray

Watch list: Butkus Award

Last week’s stats: 3 tackles, 1 sack

Season stats: 7 tackles, 1 sack

Comment: Will remain at buck position all season with the announcement that Ronald Powell likely will redshirt.

TE Jordan Reed

Watch lists: John Mackey Award, CFPA Tight End Trophy

Last week’s stats: 5 catches, 59 yards

Season stats: 8 catches, 92 yards

Comment: He leads the team in receptions and has become UF’s top offensive weapon after Mike Gillislee.

K Caleb Sturgis

Watch lists: CFPA Placekicker Trophy, CFPA Specialist Trophy, Groza Award

Last week’s stats: 2-for-2 on field goals, including a 51-yarder

Season stats: 4-for-5 on field goals; two of those are from 51 yards

Comment: Sturgis was named the SEC’s Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance against the Aggies.
