GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- It's not easy keeping up this time of year. There are college football bowl games on every day and night, great non-conference basketball clashes, recruiting news and rumors galore ... and the holidays. Oh yeah, try not to forget to shop for your loved ones. Let GatorNation and The AggreGator take care of keeping you up to date on everything else.

Blogger debate: Big Ten vs. SEC in bowl games
SEC blogger Chris Low takes on Big Ten blogger Brian Bennett in a thorough discussion of all the bowl collisions. The SEC has obviously had its way with the Big Ten in recent years, but this year's Gator Bowl could be part of a turnaround. The bloggers agree the game could be a bit hard on the eyes. They predict a 6-6 tie in regulation and a field goal to win it in overtime. Riveting.

Which conference gets the best bowls? (Insider)
Ryan McGee looks at one of the overlooked facts about college football -- the degree to which the politics of bowls determine the public perception of conferences. It’s no wonder so many consider the SEC a better conference than, say, the Pac-12, when the bowl agreements the conference has lined up assure even lesser teams appear to be playing for higher stakes. Ryan ranks the tie-in arrangements.

On to college basketball, where the Gators are basking in the afterglow of two big, resume-building non-conference wins in a row (Arizona and Texas A&M) ...

What we learned on Saturday
Myron Medcalf says Texas A&M doesn't deserve to be near the Top 25 with their lack of scoring, and Florida’s backcourt is a matchup nightmare for opposing teams.

The Weekly Watch
Florida made Andy Katz's list of teams that impressed.

Conference Power Rankings
Katz still has Florida No. 2 behind Kentucky, saying that the Cats are more consistent than any other SEC team.

Let's jump over to recruiting, where the Gators rebounded with a commitment over the weekend but still have some issues swirling on the periphery ...

Davis enjoys visit to Georgia (Insider)
Coveted RB target Mike Davis enjoyed his visit to Georgia, and, despite freshman star Isaiah Crowell and incoming super RB Keith Marshall, Davis senses how much the Bulldogs need a reliable, versatile tailback like him. The former Florida commit also shot a video with DawgNation's Radi Nabulsi.

Davis enjoys visit to Florida State (Insider)
Wow, that Mike Davis is a busy fella. His loaded weekend made Jamie Newberg's "Five Things I Learned" blog. It's safe to say Davis is no longer even considering Florida, so this will be our last update on him barring any change of heart.

Updated Class Rankings
Is this more salt in Gator wounds? The update leads off with a big jump by Urban Meyer's Ohio State Buckeyes (still weird to type that). The Urbanator has OSU soaring with three ESPNU 150 defensive linemen since he's taken over. Two of them were flipped from nearby rivals Penn State and Michigan State, while the latest -- five-star DE Noah Spence -- was very interested in Florida until Meyer resurfaced.

It's not all bad news, I swear. Here are some of Florida's top commits and targets playing for state titles ...

AND NOW, YOUR DAILY TEBOW
Well, that big Broncos-Patriots clash turned out to be a bit of a dud for the Cult of Tebow followers. Nevertheless, we press onward. Here is the game recap, which as usual is ground zero for all of our coverage.
