Gators WR Ja'Juan Story to transfer

August, 10, 2012
GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Redshirt freshman wide receiver Ja'Juan Story is transferring, Florida announced Friday morning.

The 6-foot-3, 206-pounder was a four-star recruit and the No. 6 receiver in ESPN's rankings when he signed with the Gators in 2011 out of Brooksville, Fla./Nature Coast Technical. He never saw the field and told UF coach Will Muschamp on Thursday afternoon that he wanted to leave the program.

"I had a great experience here and met a bunch of great people," Story said. "It is a great football program with great players and coaches. It just wasn't the right fit for me."

Story played quarterback and receiver in high school and struggled with the transition of becoming a full-time receiver.
