GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- The commitment of five-star cornerback Vernon Hargreaves III (Tampa, Fla./Wharton) last Thursday, solidified Florida's incoming defensive back's class as one of the top groups in the country.

Joining Hargreaves, the No. 1-ranked corner in the country, at Florida will be four-star cornerback Tre' Bell, and safeties Keanu "Kiki" Neal and Nick Washington, the No. 6- and 11-ranked players at their position in the nation, respectively.

Neal, from Bushnell (Fla.) South Sumter High School, thinks Florida's defensive backs class could be special.

"In my opinion , our DB class is going to be one of a kind," Neal said. "We have talent all across the defensive backfield. We're going to be something special."

Washington echoed Neal's sentiments. The 6-foot, 185-pound athlete from Jacksonville (Fla.) Trinity Christian, said the four talented players have already formed a bond.

"I feel like the whole class is elite, but our DB class now with Tre', Kiki, and now Vernon and me -- our DB class is definitely special," Washington said. "It really feels great. Our secondary is going to be crazy."

While Hargreaves realizes how athletically gifted the four players are, he believes they are all good people off the field, too.

"I think Florida is recruiting a different type of kid this year," Hargreaves said. "You don't really have to be the best guy in the nation, but you have to be a good person. You have to be able to play ball, but you have to be a good person."

Bell, from Jersey City (N.J.) St. Peters Preps, said he is just ready to get to Florida and work with his future teammates.

"Every one of us is talented," Bell said. "We all bring something to the table. I can't wait to play with these guys and work with them."

With Florida's class starting to fill up, the Gators are still after talented safety and Florida legacy Marcell Harris (Orlando, Fla./Dr. Phillips). If Florida is able to land Harris, this could potentially be one of the best units Florida has signed in recent memory.
