WR Johnnie Dixon preparing for season

July, 21, 2012
TAMPA, Fla. -- With offers from Alabama, Florida, Florida State, Miami and Ohio State, 2014 wide receiver Johnnie Dixon (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla./Dwyer) is sure to be one of the top wideouts in the southeast if not the country next year. After a busy summer that included camps at Florida and Florida State, the 5-foot-11, 186-pound athlete says he is ready to focus on his upcoming season.

"I'm done with recruiting for the summer," Dixon said. "Now I'm just lifting and working to get better for the season."

Dixon, who is with his team at the Sling-n-Shoot 7-on-7 tournament in Tampa, declined to name any favorite schools this early in the process but said he did grow up rooting for one particular team.
