GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- After camping at Florida on Wednesday, 2014 quarterback prospect Will Grier (Davidson, N.C./Davidson Day) picked up a big offer from the Gators.
The 6-foot-3, 185-pound signal-caller, who also holds offers from ECU, Wake Forest and North Carolina, said he was excited to receive this offer.
"I'm extremely excited about this offer -- this is my first SEC offer," Grier said. "I flew down here hoping to impress the Florida coaches, and to come away with an offer is more than I ever expected."
While at camp, Grier had a chance to spend some time with Florida offensive coordinator Brent Pease, and Grier said he was impressed.
"I think he's awesome," Grier said. "Obviously he knows what he is doing. He put up big numbers with Kellen Moore at Boise State. I think I would be a good fit for him in that offense because we run the same kind of offense at my high school."
Grier, who will visit Clemson on Sunday, says he has no leader at this point and plans to visit several other schools this summer.
"My leaders as of now are the four schools that have offered me," he said. "I will make a decision when everything works out and I am ready to commit myself to a program and school. Whenever I feel comfortable that I found the right place I will commit, so the time frame will be based on however long it takes me to find the right fit."
