GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- ESPN 150 defensive end Ebenezer Ogundeko (Brooklyn, N.Y./Thomas Jefferson) camped at Florida on Saturday. The visit for the 6-foot-3, 229-pound Under Armour All-American vaulted the Gators near the top of his list.
"It was great," Ogundeko. "I got to spend time with the players and coaches. I bonded with the players pretty good. It was a great environment to be in. The weather was great. I liked everything about it. I'd say Florida, Notre Dame and Syracuse are my top three right now."
While on his visit, the No. 9-ranked defensive end in the country said he had a chance to spend time with Florida head coach Will Muschamp and defensive coordinator Dan Quinn.
"They were talking to me about my future and building a relationship with me, building a connection, and they were just making me the best player I can be," Ogundeko said. "They told me I would have a great opportunity to play, and being down there I would get a great education and become a great football player at the same time."
Ogundeko, who plans to take an official visit to Florida, said distance will not play a factor in his decision. He also added that he is unsure of any other official visits and is planning on making a decision sometime in July.
"He's a great person," Ogundeko said. "I'm building a great connection with him also. I could see myself playing alongside him in the future."
Ogundeko said he has no plans to visit any other schools in upcoming weeks.
