BRADENTON, Fla. -- Some of the top prospects at the skill positions took to the fields at the IMG Academy over the weekend to participate in the 7-on-7 Southeast Regional. Here are 10 players who really stood out based upon their performances alone.
10. Kyle Gibson
Seffner (Fla.) Armwood | ATH | 6-foot, 180 pounds
The safety wasn't flashy over the course of the two-day event, but Gibson consistently seemed to be in good position to knock down pass attempts. The four-star prospect continually took the right angles on deep balls and came up aggressively on underneath routes. On day one, Gibson helped Team Tampa beat the South Florida Express Elite, which consisted of big-time wide receivers Ermon Lane and Florida State commit JoJo Robinson. Vanderbilt and Louisville are two schools standing out for Gibson. He has no timeframe on making a decision.

The 6-foot, 197-pound two-way athlete has a bunch of offers, but to distinguish them, he's going to have to see what the school is like behind the brochures he gets in the mail.

ATHENS, Ga. -- For most high school players, the end of practice means they get a break from the incessant nagging and ceaseless instruction of their coaches. They go home, eat dinner, study and enjoy the respite until the whistles start blowing next time. For ESPN Watch List safety Quincy Wilson (Fort Lauderdale, Fla./University School), that is not the case.
Wilson’s father is the defensive coordinator and the defensive backs coach at the University School, so Wilson jokes that he gets no respite.
“Oh no, there’s no break, there’s no break,” Wilson said. “Monday through Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Yeah, I get it at practice, before practice, after practice, in the car, at the dinner table ...”
The talented junior laughed about the nonstop instruction but he also credited his father with making him the player he is today -- one of the most coveted safeties in Florida.
Wilson’s father is the defensive coordinator and the defensive backs coach at the University School, so Wilson jokes that he gets no respite.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- 2014 defensive end Keyon Brown (Wauchula, Fla./Hardee) had a blistering pace to his process going when four offers flew in from Louisiana-Lafayette, Miami, Pittsburgh and UCF.
Things now have been a little more manageable. Brown says he's still talking to teams the same, but it is at a slower rate.
"Right now, I am not really decided or anything like that," he said. "I probably won't decide until next year where I am going. The recruiting process started off crazy. It has kind of slowed down, it is steady, but it isn't as crazy as it was."

The 6-foot-5, 200-pound sophomore athlete is leaning on his 2014 teammates offensive lineman Mason Cole and wide receiver Artavis Scott for advice. And while those two are still just juniors, they have been well exposed to the recruiting process already.
"Experiencing this with Mason Cole and Artavis Scott has helped me a lot," said Campbell. "They are helping me figure this out a lot."

Corey Holmes (Ft. Lauderdale, Fla./St. Thomas Aquinas) is nearly through his junior season of football and continues to experience success on the field and in the recruiting process.
The 6-foot-1, 175-pound receiver has added a couple of new offers, but with a newly-made highlight tape, perhaps some more could be on the way.
"My season has gone pretty well for me so far," he said. "I just made a new highlight tape for the first half of the season so I want to send that out to schools. I'm up to 11 offers now. UCF, Syracuse, Houston and Notre Dame are the latest ones."

Fort Myers (Fla.) Dunbar’s 35-0 victory over Sarasota (Fla.) Booker on Friday night clinched a district title for Dunbar and put the Tigers in a position to compete for a state championship.
Despite the lopsided nature of the score both teams had players that will definitely need to be observed in the next few weeks, months and years.

Class of 2015 prospect George Campbell (Tarpon Springs, Fla./East Lake) has plans to travel to Gainesville this weekend for the SEC East clash between Florida and South Carolina.
The 6-foot-4, 180-pound sophomore has offers from Vanderbilt, UCF and South Florida at this early stage in his high school career. Other schools continue to show interest.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Florida may have the day off, but there are still plenty of things happening today that can impact the Gators throughout the rest of the Southeastern Conference season.
Four future SEC opponents are in action, including next week’s foe LSU. Here’s a breakdown of what the Gators and their fans should pay attention to in each game:
Tennessee (3-1, 0-1 SEC) at Georgia (4-0, 2-0), 3:30 p.m.
It appears the Bulldogs will be at full strength on defense for the first time this season because all indications are that All-American S Bacarri Rambo and starting LB Alec Ogletree will make their season debuts. The two had been suspended for the first four games of the season for violating team and university rules.
Georgia has looked pretty good defensively without those two anyway, ranking eighth in the SEC in total defense (343.2 yards per game), eighth in rush defense (135.5 ypg) and sixth in pass defense (207.8 ypg). But adding Ogletree to a linebacking corps that includes Jarvis Jones (4.5 sacks) gives the Bulldogs more big-play potential.
Rambo’s return means Sanders Commings, who along with LB Chase Vasser was suspended for the first two games, can go back to his cornerback spot. Those guys will have several games to get up to speed before the Florida-Georgia game on Oct. 27.

Class of 2014 defensive back Kyle Gibson (Seffner, Fla./Armwood) is still sitting on early offers from UCF and Vanderbilt.
However, recruitment for the 6-foot-1, 190-pound junior has picked up considerably in the last month.
“Everything's going real well in the recruiting area,” Gibson said. “A coach from Notre Dame stopped by (Wednesday) to get film. They have been showing a lot of interest but no offer yet.”

Please excuse class of 2014 athlete Rashawn Shaw (Fort Pierce, Fla./Central) if he can’t think much beyond his big game against Vero Beach (Fla.) on Thursday.
"So far the season is going real well and we'll be facing Vero Beach (on Thursday),” Shaw said. “The game is going to be streaming on the Internet I believe. It should be a fun game.”
This year Shaw has been getting bigger -- he said Florida coaches measured him at 6-foot-2, 227 pounds -- and making several trips around the state.

Walters shows out: With Miami Central's highly-touted 2014 running back prospects Joseph Yearby and Dalvin Cooke expected to be the toughest test to date for Manatee's defensive line, it was the Hurricanes' 2014 prospect at running back that gave Central all it could handle. Trevon Walters showed that he is going to be a name to watch for the rest of this season. He had 107 yards rushing and 120 yards receiving on just 18 touches in Friday's 44-34 victory over Central. He scored on a shovel pass from 54 yards out and had a game-clinching 85-yard run late in the fourth quarter. "I feel like Trevon is going to be a major prospect and we're starting to expect games like he had (Friday)," said Manatee coach Joe Kinnan.
Central has a quarterback: After experimenting with junior Brandon Diaz, who has since moved to linebacker, and Yearby, who keyed a comeback victory over Booker T. ATH Alvin Bailey jumps on Gators' offer

SEFFNER, Fla. -- ESPN 150 athlete Alvin Bailey (Seffner, Fla./Armwood) committed to Florida on Saturday, choosing the Gators over UCF and Notre Dame after his Armwood team defeated Brandon, Fla., 55-0. The 5-foot-11, 176-pound senior is the 19th verbal commitment for Florida in its recruiting class of 2013 and the ninth ESPN 150 commitment.
Bailey tried not to give hints about his commitment during the game. He scored touchdowns on a 77-yard run and a 13-yard reception but rather than do a ‘Gator Chomp’ he just simply handed the ball back to the referee.
After the game Seffner coach Sean Callahan set up the announcement.
