The NFTC tour continued to roll on with a stop in Atlanta this past weekend. The event featured a very strong roster of talent, including a pair of top-five prospects in the ESPN Junior 300. No group was lean on talent, with plenty of promising 2015 and even 2016 prospects to evaluate. It's tough to name everyone who competed and did well. Below are some of the event's top and most notable performers in the latest addition of the Recruiting Nation NFTC Awards.

ROSWELL, Ga. -- The Atlanta Nike Football Training Camp is generally one of the most impressive groups of high school football players you will find in the country. This year’s camp didn’t disappoint. Eight invites were handed out to The Opening, a prestigious invite-only camp held in Beaverton, Ore., in July.

A few top targets such as LSU commit Kevin Toliver II (Jacksonville, Fla./Trinity Christian), Texas A&M commit Daylon Mack (Gladewater, Texas/Gladewater) and Georgia commit Terry Godwin (Hogansville, Ga./Callaway) have already made their commitments, but other key targets remain. The dead period is over, and this was the first of three official visit weekends remaining before national signing day on Feb. 5. Several top prospects visited SEC schools, there were some commits, and there will be a few announcements this week. Here’s a closer look at the latest recruiting news from around the SEC:

Biggest commits: Georgia is already feeling the effects of new defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt on the recruiting trail. The Bulldogs were able to land two ESPN Junior 300 commitments, Rico McGraw (Nashville, Tenn./The Ensworth School) and Terry Godwin (Hogansville, Ga./Callaway), over the weekend.

This season's Iron Bowl has reached epic proportions in both hype and importance as both Alabama and Auburn are top-five teams for the showdown for only the second time in the history of the series. With an SEC title game appearance hanging in the balance, the list of expected visitors on hand Saturday is huge, especially for recruits in the 2015 class.

D'haquille Williams (Reserve, La./Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College): The Auburn commitment and one of the top junior-college prospects in the class will likely attend the Iron Bowl on Saturday. Can Auburn hold off the surging LSU Tigers for Williams?

After a sensational weekend to open the college football season, this weekend features a number of marquee games that are sure to have an impact on recruiting. Two games in the Southeast Region, in particular, are expected to bring out a number of big time prospects in the class of 2014 and 2015. Here is a closer look at some of the hot topics throughout the SEC:

The beat goes on for No. 1
Not only is Alabama going for a three-peat on the field this season, but also in recruiting. Already opening up a nice lead in the 2014 class rankings with the commitment of Cameron Sims (Monroe, La./Ouachita High) two weeks ago, the Crimson Tide placed a stranglehold on the competition Wednesday securing a commitment from five-star offensive tackle Cameron Robinson (West Monroe, La./West Monroe). With the pledge from Robinson, Nick Saban and Co. now have 20 commitments, including 14 in the ESPN 300.

ATLANTA -- More than 1,700 student-athletes took part Saturday in the Nike SPARQ Combine here, a record for the event. Players from across the Southeast braved freezing conditions, snow flurries and significant wind chill to compete and test their athletic ability in the 40-yard dash, 20-yard shuttle, vertical jump and power ball throw. Below are the standouts from the event, which includes several prominent recruits and some off-the-radar prospects for the 2014 and 2015 classes.

2015 ATH adds SEC offers

ATLANTA – After bursting onto the scene with one of the best performances at the Mark Richt 7-on-7 Camp last year, after which Georgia gave him his first scholarship offer, 2015 athlete Terry Godwin (Hoganville, Ga./Callaway) followed it up by making 25 tackles and four interceptions, three of which he returned for touchdowns.
