UGA fighting to keep McMillan home
By Tom VanHaaren
BEAVERTON, Ore. -- Keeping top in-state players home is always a priority and that's most definitely the case with linebacker Raekwon McMillan (Hinesville, Ga./Liberty County) and Georgia. The No. 13-ranked player in the country says the Dawgs are in his top group, but Mark Richt and Co. might have some work to do.
"Ohio State, Alabama, Florida, Clemson and Georgia are all in my top group," he said. "Ohio State, Bama and Clemson are probably sticking out. Georgia and Florida are trying to keep me in state and South, though."
The five-star prospect is highly sought after, and as he said, the Buckeyes are among his top group. With rumors swirling about Ohio State being his leader, McMillan says he is still considering options and has some plans for the future.
"I recently took visits to Alabama and Clemson, and I'm going out to Ohio State and Georgia, too," he said. "I'm going out to Ohio State for the Friday Night Lights and Georgia for Dawg Night."
McMillan said he would like to make his decision at the end of December, but might drag it out and make his decision at the Under Armour All-America game in January.
