Bama RB commitment visits SEC school

By Greg Ostendorf

ESPN Watch List running back Bo Scarbrough (Tuscaloosa, Ala./Northridge) committed to the University of Alabama in September, but he’s not been shy about taking visits to other schools. He and head coach Nick Saban have come to an agreement on his recruitment.

“Coach Saban told me that I could have fun with it,” Scarbrough said. “That’s why I’m taking my visits.

“I’m having fun with it before I go up to Alabama because Coach Saban said playing for Alabama is a business. I want to have fun now, so when I get ready to go to college, I can take care of business.”

On Saturday, Scarbrough visited Tennessee for its junior day. It was the first time he had stepped foot on the Volunteers’ campus.

“I think Tennessee’s a nice place, and I think that Coach [Butch] Jones is a great coach,“ Scarbrough said. “I like how his coaching staff is. He’s got a great coaching staff, some great stuff around there, and he was talking about how he was going to do things.”

Still, Scarbrough says his commitment to the Crimson Tide is solid.

The 6-foot-2, 215-pound athlete has no other visits scheduled at this point, but he might take in Alabama’s second junior day on Saturday. He made the short trip over to UA’s campus last month for their first junior day.

“If Coach [Doug] Nussmeier wants me to come over there, then I’ll come over there,” Scarbrough said. “I still might show up anyway because Alabama is the school I’m going to, and I want to see who’s going to be there.”
