Bostwick will choose between three

By Corey Long

ESPN 300 defensive tackle Jay-nard Bostwick (Port St. Lucie, Fla./West Centennial) has been on an official visit to Alabama and recently plenty of visitors to Port St. Lucie this past weekend. The 6-foot-4, 275-pound senior will take two more visits before shutting his recruitment down.

Bostwick will take an official visit to Miami (Fla) this weekend and plans to go to Florida next weekend according to head coach Ron Parker.

“He had a good visit to Alabama,” Parker said. “He and I talked about it and he’s going to take these next two visits and make a decision on national signing day.

“Jay-nard was also considering Michigan State, Oregon and Oklahoma, but he’s run out of time to visit those programs now.”

Parker said that coaches from Miami and Florida visited Bostwick on Monday and Alabama head coach Nick Saban will be visiting Bostwick next week in a final push.

“Alabama is making a strong impression on Jay-nard right now and when they see a player that can help them they really do a good job in recruiting,” Parker said. “They are national champions after all.

Parker said despite the late attention Bostwick is still working his way through the process and is still evaluating each program and school.

“Jay-nard isn’t going to say much so the coaches think he’s pretty tough to read,” Parker explained. “But things are getting kind of tricky now. Jay-nard wants to be close to home and all three schools can give him that. Also two programs are in the SEC and that’s where you want to be if you’re a defensive lineman.”
