TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- Alabama called on its connection with former offensive coordinator Jim McElwain to round out its 2013 football schedule, agreeing to face Colorado State on Sept. 21 in Tuscaloosa, in McElwain's second season leading the Rams.

The second of the two-game series will be played at some point during the 2015 or 2017 season, at an undetermined location.

Colorado State, which finished 4-8 this season, will earn $1.5 million per game, according to CSU.
