Less than perfect weather didn't sidetrack Korren Kirven's official visit to Alabama.
“The facility and the campus are just beautiful,” the four-star defensive tackle from Lynchburg (Va.) Brookville said on Sunday after returning from some rain in Bama. “It's a beautiful place.”
The 6-foot-3, 270-pound prospect said he most enjoyed visiting with the Bama coaches and players.
Kirven took an official visit to Maryland last week.
“If I went there I could contribute real early,” he said of the prospects of signing with the Terps.
Kirven is originally from nearby Washington, D.C., so he has a strong connection to the area.
Kirven will take an official visit to Virginia Tech this weekend. He's also considering Tennessee, where he took an official visit on Jan. 13. Kirven currently plans to announce on Feb. 1, which is national signing day.
