Texas 2016 TE lands Bama offer

For quite some time, 2016 tight end Kaden Smith (Flower Mound, Texas/Marcus) had received interest from Alabama. But for quite some time, Smith wondered if the interest would ever turn into a scholarship offer.

At the conclusion of Alabama’s camp Wednesday afternoon, Smith got the offer he hoped for. Before heading to Tallahassee, Fla., for the Florida State camp, the 6-foot-5, 230-pound tight end was offered by Alabama coach Nick Saban.

“I’d just finished with the camp, and right before I left, Coach Saban invited me to his office,” Smith said. “We talked, and he offered me then. I was really excited. I was trying not to smile too big.
