During the summer, TideNation will analyze each of the scholarship players on the Alabama roster -- excluding the Tide's 2013 recruiting class -- in our Crimson Countdown series. Starting with No. 1 Dee Hart, we will go through the roster numerically, finishing with No. 99 Brandon Ivory.

Senior linebacker

Expectations for 2013: It's hard to imagine that Alabama's leading tackler from last season wasn't even a starter, but such was the case for Mosley, who was technically a backup to both Nico Johnson and Trey DePriest at inside linebacker, yet still registered 100-plus tackles. With Johnson off to the NFL, the job is now Mosley's alone. No longer will he come off the field in short-yardage and running situations, and no longer will he be the quiet star on defense. With four seniors gone from last season's defense, it's up to Mosley to do more in every phase of the game.
