At Alabama’s first Junior Day, the Crimson Tide landed three commitments for 2013, wide receiver Raheem Falkins, athlete Ardarius Stewart and running back Altee Tenpenny. Can UA have similar success on Saturday’s Junior Day?
Here are three players to keep an eye on as the day unfolds.
DT Montravius Adams - Vienna, Ga.
Alabama is staking its claim in the state of Georgia for 2013. It already has a commitment from Reuben Foster and feels good about Robert Nkemdiche. Is Adams next? The versatile defensive lineman is high on the Tide’s priority list, and while he may not pull the trigger over the weekend, the visit could move UA to the top of his list.
OL Grant Hill - Huntsville, Ala.
When Hill began to really focus on football, he lost close to 50 pounds, and he has since seen his recruitment take off. Alabama looks like the early leader for Hill, and the UA coaching staff may want him to go ahead and commit now. With his shy and humble personality, Hill seems like the type of recruit who could make an early decision if it feels right.
WR Carlos Burse - Alpharetta, Ga.
The Alabama staff probably wants to wait until summer camp where they can better evaluate Burse before offering him a scholarship, but if the Georgia wide receiver were to receive an offer over the weekend, he could commit on spot. He’s been on record saying it would be a quick decision if the Tide ever offered him.
