TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- The schedule will shake out a little differently for the Crimson Tide in 2013. The only question remaining is a non-conference game that will likely fall on Sept. 7 after the season-opener against Virginia Tech in Atlanta.

The Tide open SEC play next year by traveling to College Station to play Texas A&M for only the second time in school history. The Sept. 14 will mark sixth time Alabama has played the Aggies. UA hosts Texas A&M on Nov. 10 this season and leads the series 3-1.

Week 3 presents the biggest scheduling quirk of the season, as Ole Miss comes to Tuscaloosa for the second consecutive time. The Rebels fell to Alabama 33-14 on Sept. 29.

After a non-conference matchup with Georgia State on Oct. 5, the Tide will go to Kentucky, which represents one of two SEC East schools UA will face in 2013, the other being Tennessee two weeks later, maintaining its Third Saturday in October distinction. Alabama misses out on top 25 teams Georgia, Florida and South Carolina out of the East. Alabama has not lost to Kentucky since 1997 and hasn't fallen to Tennessee in its last five contests.

A home date against Arkansas is sandwiched between the two SEC East showdowns. It will be the first time Alabama faces Arkansas after September since the Razorbacks joined the SEC.

Alabama's bye week falls on Nov. 2, the week before the Tide host LSU at Bryant-Denny Stadium. This season breaks the streak of three years in which Alabama's bye week came before a game against LSU.

Alabama wraps up its regular season with a road game at Mississippi State, a home date with Chattanooga and finally the 78th edition of the Iron Bowl at Auburn.
