TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- Alabama's non-conference schedule for next season took another step toward completion on Wednesday when the university announced it will play Georgia State in Tuscaloosa on Oct. 5, 2013.
It will be schools' second meeting, the other coming in 2010 when Alabama rolled over Bill Curry's Panthers 63-7 at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
Georgia State will move from the Football Championship Subdivision to the Division I and compete in the Sun Belt conference next season.
Alabama's date with Virginia Tech in the season-opening Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game is the only other non-conference opponent to be finalized to this point.
